Digital photo frames how does it work
What should you choose? It's up to you! Whether you want to use your name, a family group name or a silly reference only your family would understand, you will have full control. The only stipulation is to make sure no one else has claimed that email address within our system, which always ends with ourskylight.
What happens if someone else has selected your preferred email name? No problem. Just think of another, and try to make it as unique as possible. Remember, the most important part of the digital photo frame is what shows up on the screen. Seeing a new photo pop up will bring much joy to your day, and it will certainly turn any frown upside down!
After you choose your email account, just wait for the handy dandy activation code. This way, you end up with the best and brightest looking photos. Digital photo frames store images in different ways. Some just need the SD card with the images inserted into the frame, while others have you upload the images from a computer using a USB wire to transfer the images. Wi-Fi, Cloud, and Bluetooth versions allow for content to be uploaded wirelessly over the internet.
This is becoming a popular choice amongst consumers due to the convenience factor. People can simply use their smartphones to upload whatever photos they like to their digital frame without all the extra hassle.
If software is required, a DVD with the specific program will be packed with the product. Once logged on, the frame compares the pictures already on the frame to the ones waiting to be sent, downloading any new ones. It also downloads any new settings. When it is finished downloading, the frame hangs up the phone line and starts displaying the new photos one after another.
It turns itself off at the set time in the evening, and back on at the set time in the morning. You use the Ceiva Web site to control just about every aspect of the device. After you buy the frame, you go to the Web site to register it and pay for the service. This creates an account on the site that is exclusive to your frame.
You can then upload your pictures and determine the settings. Now you can give the frame to a friend or family member who doesn't have a computer. All that person has to do is plug the frame into a phone line and a power outlet and hit the white button on the back -- simple tasks for even most technologically resistant among us. The first time the frame connects, it dials a toll-free number and downloads the settings you created from the Web site. One of the settings is the local dial-up number to be used by the frame.
Now that the frame has these settings installed, it connects to the Internet again, this time using the local dial-up number, to download the pictures you posted to the Ceiva site.
By registering the frame on the Web site, you establish a "My Home" section. From this personalized area, you can control all of the frames on your account. The next-generation Ceiva frame will add some neat features such as the ability to print pictures.
You'll be able to print them either on a special local printer or remotely through a service that prints the pictures and sends them to you in the mail. It will also have the ability to play recorded sounds with each picture, a CompactFlash memory slot to display pictures directly from a digital camera, and a small remote to control features such as printing and some of the settings that can only be adjusted via the Web in the current Ceiva frame.
Even with these added features, you'll be able to control the frame via the Web, so the new Ceiva will still be simple enough to give to your technologically challenged loved ones. Sign up for our Newsletter! Mobile Newsletter banner close.

Displaying Digital Photographs The simplest way to display digital photographs in a digital photo frame is to physically remove the memory expansion card, in its entirety, from your digital camera and plug it into the frame. Wireless Connectivity One of the difficulties involved with a digital photo frame without wireless connectivity is that, if you want to update its content, you need to physically move the frame from its location — say, on a desktop, mantelpiece, or wall — and connect it to a computer, mobile phone, etc..
