Where is feralas
Take the road that leads to the north west and you cant miss it. User Info: makenshie. Be sure to stop by Tanaris. User Info: Dragonne. Pay some people in Feralas to summon you near Dire Maul "If you do the job badly enough, sometimes you don't get asked to do it again.

However, for whatever the reason, Feralas seems far less crowded than Tanaris. This place is great for herb gathering, so I know a lot of miners just completely skip this zone. I don't think this zone offers an easy route as Tanaris for mining, but since it's less visited so I often find myself completely OWN all the mine nodes : The gnolls lv are good for grinding although you need to do something about their fleeing when health is low.
The ogres lv are great for grinding. You can loot both money and cloth from them. And they are spaced far enough it's almost certain it's a single fight. The zone offers some okay quests. Pretty standard slain and investigate quests. But since this zone is less visited, it's hard to get a pickup group going. So you might want to bring a friend or 2 for the more difficult quests. Last but not least, one of the quest chains started in here will reward you with a little dragon as pet.
So I'm looking forward to that one. So if you want a moment of serenity, this is the place. Comment by Thottbot Does anyone know where grimtotem compound is i've been looking forever.. Comment by Thottbot Ok, since there's not much for the Alliance in the comments I'll add a bit. I've only been in here long enough to find the alliance place so can't tell much more.
I finally showed up at lvl 49 and thought i had wasted time since some of the beginning quests are low 40's but they also give you upper 40's quests and so far I have 1 quest sending me to the sunken temple.
The northern island is the alliance place and does have a flight path. In order to get there you need to go by boat. Follow the road south from Desolace until around 46,35 didn't get exact coords at the time and you'll see some torches on the right side of the road.
The path leads down and to the SW you'll see a dock. This brings you to Feathermoon Stronghold which is a Night Elf place. The gryphon master is around the NW part. There's a bunch of quests and there's also a goblin at the dock on the mainland that gives a couple more level 48 quests. Hope that helps because even after reading the earlier posts I didn't know where to go. So far the place looks dead besides a couple horde running by and 2 Alliance that had no clue where they were either.
Comment by Thottbot Is there any damn anvil in Feralas? There's none in Camp Mojache. Comment by Thottbot The levels to feralas are about , as said on the thottbot board. To actually get to Feralas: You can go south from Desolace the entrance to Feralas is near Gelkis Village - this is better for those wanting to grind on the higher level creatures.
You can also go northwest from Thousand Needles - this route is near the Horde Camp Mojache and the lower level creatures. This is a good area to grind in, there are very few people who go there and it has a decent range of creatures to fight.
Many of the quests also involve killing creatures. Comment by Thottbot Does anyone have the position of the Yetis? And what level would it be good to start grinding on them? I picked up the Flight path on The Feathermoon Stronghold, got some of the quests there and got going right away. The first quests are easy; some, you have to kill yetis and take their fur.
Others, you have to kill some ogres. The loot kinda sucked, because i only got maybe silver per kill, and if i got lucky, some mageweave cloth. If you are a Skinner, or a Herbalist, then this area is the perfect area for you to train.
I did like 4 quests, and now I am a level What I noticed, was that most of the quest rewards are leather.
If you can wear leather, then good, because some of the rewards from turning in the quests are pretty nice. Feralas is not visited by many; 1 Either because people think theres not much there.
It is a very good place to train, and i would advise you to go there if you are between the levels 43 - Lowaan, Madoran Server.
Comment by Thottbot Nice place to go around lvl 42, there are good q's, though it takes a lot of walking. I combined questing in Feralas and Tanaris, so I always had enough yellow q's I spent a lot of time looking for the flight points, Thalanaar 88,45 is near the border with thousand needles, beware, it just looks like 2 nelfs and a shrine Then there is feathermoon 30,44 , which is reachable with a boat 43, Oh, beware of the horde camp 75,44 when traveling through Feralas :P.
GL, hope it was useful. Comment by Thottbot Dream boroughs and Onerios are close to each other.. Comment by Thottbot never quested here and working on my exploration.. Comment by Thottbot i totally loved this place. Comment by Allakhazam All I see is a weird green portal and a bunch of?
Jademir Bodyguard Dragonkin mobs Therefor I decided to post the cords for where to get the map "explored". The cords are: 32, Graveyard is in Feathermoon stronghold. You won't enjoy the walk. Comment by I found this place to be an excellent alternative to Stranglethorn Vale for the Horde for quite a while.
I think STV may have more quests but the rate at which you get them done here is much faster mostly due to the fact that after completing just about every quest here, I was never ganked once, speeds things up quite a bit.
The only Ally I ever saw here was fishing, and didn't even take notice of my existence. Scenery is beautiful, but don't focus your eyes on the map while traveling, as the terrain can be misleading and you'll hit a lot of raised terrain you can't cross or piles of mobs.
Great zone. Comment by Mydge Dear Blizz. Public transport here blows. Install a freaking bridge already, my plate is rusting! Comment by Erinyes Feralas is an excellent zone for those leveling using the Recruit-a-Friend bonuses triple mob xp and triple quest xp when recruit account and veteran account level together. On first glance when you arrive at Feathermoon Stronghold, there don't seem to be many quests, but the two main chains for the Night Elves, the naga and the silithids, will yield nearly a level's worth of experience on quest turn-ins alone.
Combined with the quests for the goblin near the Feralas boat dock and that damnable yeti hide quest, you'll easily gain two levels. Here's the quests to which I'm referring: 1. The goblin's quests start at Zorbin Fandazzle. Note this post refers only to Alliance side quests. I remember doing this area on Horde side, and it was chockful of good quests.
The great thing on Alliance side is that you can concentrate on a few quests in one or two areas and get tons of XP from quest turn-ins.
Might be same on Horde. Comment by I gotta say this is one of the more aesthetic zones in the game. There's a waterfall southwest of Dire Maul that looks real nice, and if you go to the southern part of the Forgotten Shore and look north and a little west, you get a great view of the sun setting or rising?
Comment by Deimoz Got to say one of my favorite area in the game. So many interesting things and exploring, waterfalls, twin colossals etc.
Comment by IF you are an alliance player and walking from needles watch out for the Horde place they got high lvl guards there. Comment by kgurnhill Feralas is nice looking zone! Rate me up! Comment by Aevis Imo one of the most beautiful places in azeroth. Comment by Kulzseza I really like this zone for some reason. Beautiful surroundings, decent quests available and all of the aforementioned.
Comment by devilboy wowhead. I agree it looks great, but still I always look for another zone to level in after a short while. Comment by If you are here for Loremaster be sure to pick up a Hippogryph Egg along the southern wall beyond the hyppogryphs to turn in to Gadgetzan for The Super Egg-O-Matic , which will grant a point toward the achievement the first time you run an egg through it.
Comment by GoDrCoW Feralas is quite the beautiful zone, possibly the most beautiful in Old Azeroth Winterspring looks better, in my opinion, but I just love snowy zones. The entire zone is a green forest, complete with it's own fog, but possibly the highlight of this zone are the Twin Colossals. Be sure to take the quest to get to the top of one of them, even if you're just passing through.
Going through the zone with your view distance setting maxed makes for pretty sights, whereas the minimum view distance complements the fog, and gives a more 'dense' feeling to the forest.
Both are lovely. From Freewind Post travel north west along the main road until you enter Feralas. You will pass by the Alliance outpost of Thalanaar that you must avoid. Shortly into the jungle is the town of Camp Mojache. There is a flight path there. Feralas is a large rainforest of ancient trees stretching from Thousand Needles to the coastline in the west and from the wasteland of Desolace in the north to Un'Goro Crater to the south.
Dire Maul is an instanced dungeon which can be found in this area. There are no raids or battlegrounds.
