You can play with it right out of the box, or use the cards to create and customize your own Deck. Many of these cards work well with cards you can find in the Order of Chaos and Photon Shockwave booster sets, allowing you to make your own unique and powerful Deck!
New To Yu-Gi-Oh! So much happens in this book! I feel like I just read an entire series instead of one book. Going into this, I wasn't sure the author would be able to wrap up all the loose ends in this series, but she did it. And its amazing. The beginning is a little slow, and there's a lot of recap, but you quickly forget that and get lost in the story.
All of the characters from previous books have a part to play and we're definitely left with a good sense of closure by the end of the book. One thing I lo Wow! One thing I love about this series is that there's romance, but it's not the main focus and that holds true here. Ryu plays a major part in this book, but there's no angst. The focus is on Tate accepting herself and reconciling her past and present so that she can look towards the future. Her relationships with Dewdrop, Night, Roslyn, and others are equally important to her.
And Ilith! There were a lot of Ilith scenes and those were definitely my favorite. I found myself laughing out loud several times! The whole series is a must-read, but this book in particular I know I'll re-read often and love it just as much each time. It's sad to see any series end, but this was a great conclusion. I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Jul 12, C rated it really liked it Shelves: fantasy. I don't do that for many books, but I really like and admire this author. In the last month I reread the rest of this series, ready and waiting for this installment. The review I think this book was good, and what it needed to be. It didn't tie off all loose ends - just enough of them.
I like that I wasn't entirely sure where it was going, and as the amount of the book got smaller the tension grew until I wasn't sure how White would do it.
I think I'll need a re-read at some point to appreciate it more, but I'm happy with this as it is - a solid finish to a detailed and interesting series. I am cautiously hopeful for a spin off with Roslyn and Blade, but I won't hold my breath too long. I'll just pine. White really excels when she has an idea and some room to breathe, and I don't want her to rush something that could be fantastic. The good news is that Roslyn already stands on her own, separate to T.
White's other characters, so she could make the leap to main character more easily. If the author does go down the spin off direction with this: I really hope Willa or Pax or both go with. Jul 12, Connie Canfield rated it it was amazing. I am delighted to be wrong. This was the perfect ending to this story. Tate and her cobbled together family had me laughing as they tussled over tarts and worried as they raced to save the city, they found a home in.
I would love to see a spin off series featuring Roslyn. Roslyn was a character that surprised me the most. When she was first introduced, I was not expecting her to become one of my favorite characters in the series. I will keep my fingers crossed that TA White returns to this world in the future. Jul 12, Traumrealistin rated it it was amazing.
A wonderful conclusion to a great series With this series I got to know and appreciate the author TA White. With each book, her style refined and I enjoyed reading them. I have read all her books and I loved them all. So this review is a tiny bit biased.
Anyone who has followed the series to this point will love this book. It is a great conclusion. I would have loved to hear more from individual characters, but that probably wouldn't have fit into one book. I could imagine there to be a spin-off - A wonderful conclusion to a great series With this series I got to know and appreciate the author TA White.
I could imagine there to be a spin-off - especially of Roslyn. I'd also like to read how things progress with Valle, who turns out to be quite an interesting character. I think many have their personal preferences and maybe the author can be persuaded to write a book of short stories Enjoy the book!
Jul 12, Jan rated it it was amazing. One of the best things about these books is the combination of humor, action, adventure and a unique fantasy world. Some of the best scenes in these books are the banter between Tate and her friends, as well as Ilith's her dragon's point of view. Her scenes never fail invoke a grin or even laugh, so I recommend not reading in public so as to avoid appearing like a crazy person. The story has a good HEA ending, with no real cliff hangers but allowing the author to continue writing in this world if she chooses.
I highly recommend reading these books a form of light hearted entertainment!! Jul 13, Shannon Qualls rated it really liked it. I read a lot. Like, A LOT, and I can honestly say that not many authors have books that continually keep my on my toes and leave me guessing with where they are going. The entire Dragon Ridden series has been a complex maze of a world that T. White has been revealing piece by piece over the last five books. And things finally clicked into place for the most part--I still have some unanswered questions.
I loved it. Plain and simple. If you love stories with a strong heroine s , interesting si I read a lot. If you love stories with a strong heroine s , interesting side characters with loyalty in spades, adventure, mystery and a dash of romance thrown in, this is the series for you. A solid 4. Jul 12, Mischka rated it it was amazing. What a book, what a book! As always TA. White has outdone herself. The storys ending answers all the questions from the previous book.
It combines everything I love about the series! You get a lot of action and fun with a little romance. I just love Tate and the whole crew and it was so nice to see them coming together again.
The whole world and story is just something completely new and fascinating. Jul 12, Jess rated it it was amazing. I love Tate and the gang so much! What a terrific end to the series. How does White come up with these worlds!? Not to mention the bonds formed between such mismatched characters. If you haven I love Tate and the gang so much! Jul 12, Libby Seligman rated it it was amazing.
Great Author So often, the ending book of a series is disappointing. This book was not. I not only enjoyed it just as much as all her other books, but T. White took her characters into directions I never anticipated. I thoroughly enjoyed this book in every possible way. My only regret is that the series is done.
For now. In the meantime I will console myself with all of the wonderful stories - past, Great Author So often, the ending book of a series is disappointing.
